The capacity of our jars (measured in milliliters) reflects the volume they can hold when filled with a liquid like honey—for example, a 380ml jar can hold approximately 380ml of honey. However, we believe in being transparent and educating our customers about how this measurement translates to storing other items like grains, masalas, and snacks.
Since the amount a jar can hold varies depending on the size, shape, and density of the ingredient, we want to help you understand what it can realistically fit to ensure your expectations are met. Here’s how common Pakistani grains and masalas compare in practice:

For spices (masalay), finer powders like haldi (turmeric) fit around 150g, whereas whole spices like zeera (cumin seeds) fit approximately 200g. Larger spices, such as cloves (laung) or dalchini (cinnamon sticks), take up more space, so only 100-120g will fit. Meanwhile, red chili powder (lal mirch), because of its fine texture, fits up to 180g in the same 380ml jar.
When it comes to snacks and dry fruits, a 380ml jar can hold about 250g of almonds (badaam) or 200g of cashews (kaaju). Lighter snacks like bhunay chana or nimko take up more space and fill the jar faster, holding less weight overall.
For baking essentials, you can store up to 250g of sugar (chini) or 200g of atta (flour). However, finer powders like cornflour may fit around 180g due to their compact texture. This variation highlights how ingredient characteristics impact the jar’s actual capacity.
